About

Creative Direction for a new world
At the intersection of Art, Technology & Design is the Hot Spot, the conceptual idea that brings them all together. Art inspires, technology connects and design makes it intuitive. The ubiquity of technology and marketing makes the Hot Spot more important than ever—does it serve a need, does it help people? Is it good? The focus is on the viewers, the audience, the users.

Bio
When I was ten, I was asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I was going to be an artist, of course, and I was right—although I think of myself as a creative professional now. In the decades since I made that statement, I studied at Parsons School of Design and earned a BFA in Interaction Design and Media Arts from the California College of the Arts.

I have worked as a Designer and Art Director in advertising and currently head both Creative Direction and Interaction Design for an alternative news agency in San Francisco. My work in grass roots youth development, user research, web design and strategic marketing and advertising has been recognized with a gold medal from The Council on Foundations. The nature rap video produced for the East Bay Regional Park District was recently awarded gold from the AVA Digital Awards.
